Rolduc is a peaceful place, architecturally and historically interesting from an American standpoint. It was much as I remembered it from 30 years ago when I stayed there with a group of high school students before it became a hotel. It was wonderful to take that trip back down memory lane.
The only negative I found was that only instant coffee was available.

Very nice atmosphere in a historic building very well maintained. Comfortable and clean rooms.
Due to the very nature of the building, noise is amplified and resonates ; which is only a problem when big groups come in. Breakfast food just ok.

Our family room was very clean, beds were good and plenty of room.
Our family room was very dated, room and specially the bathroom. There is no comfort seating downstairs and the cellar bar/restaurant closed far to early. At arrival the reception staff were very pleasant but did not explain to us what was available, ie where to go for breakfast,.How to get into town. We had to ask quite a few questions which should have been coming from the staff.
Tourists from United States of America often stay at these properties. Consider them for your next trip.
